Our TIRANGA Was Not Born To Die!

Today at the dawn of 26th January, the hues of tricolor bathe in the spirit of every Indian in vibrant and elegant shades of saffron, green and white, vivid metaphors of sacrifice, prosperity, peace and duty ring out loud and clear.

At the same time, the situation in Valley was quiet different. Heavily armed security personnel were patrolling the streets of Kashmir. Any Indian seen with the shades of tricolor was taken into custody. Top leader Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitely and Ananth Kumar were arrested for planning to hoist a national flag at Lal Chawk on 26th January. CM Omar Abdullah's government thinks that hoisting a national flag at Lal Chawk will divide the Indians.

Young minds like mine wonder, how does holding your flag with pride and exhibiting love for the country challenges national security. Is not it funny, that a heavily armed terrorist could easily walk into Kashmir, but Indians with the tricolors cannot!

By not allowing an Indian to celebrate our Constitution on the streets of INDIA, CM Omar Abdullah forgets that he and Kashmir both belong to India! I wish our government had such tight security at the borders. Embarrassing situations like Attack on Parliament, 26/11 and many other terrorist attacks could have been averted.

Indian flag is symbol of freedom, peace, unity, strength, struggle, culture and progress.
The sight of tricolor high up in the sky,sun kissed and wind blowed makes every Indian proud! How can such a sight hurt feelings of any Indian?

Many people have sacrificed their life without much thought, to see the tricolor fluttering high up in the sky. Those were the real men. I salute them. How can the government be so insensitive towards them.

People of Kashmir should  unite and hoist the national flag and prove that it was not born to die!!Any one trying to stop people from doing this should be charged with sedition.

JAI HIND!!!

  3. hey ashish,
U hav exprssed ur thoughts with maturity. me fully agree with u tht gov shall nt stop the citizen of India to hoist th national flag as it is our birth right. The other side of coin is the motive of BJP behind the hoisting the flag at lal chowk. were thy really wanted to hoist it with the purest interest fr nation or thy wanted to gain some political mileage or just embarrass the current gov following the disastrous situations in Vally ?? .No doubt Kashmir is integral part of India bt y we need to say it again n again.i also liked the soln offer by u that all Kashmiri should unit n hoist the flg so that the opportunist will learn their lessons.
    keep on writing dear..

  4. You know bhai that during the last two years, no flag has been unfurled at the CRPF bunker situated at a distance of 200 meter from Lal Chowk.
This shows that our government is good for NOTHING!!
Talking about politics....opposition party is there to take advantage of every weak situation!but i don't care what they do!
I am an INDIAN who wants see his national flag fluttering high up in the sky!
Kashmir is our integral part and will always be!!!why should we not say it again and again??If you or anyone think it is not right to say so.....then there is something seriously wrong! I don't understand what is the problem in saying so?who is getting hurt if we say it?I don't think any Indian will!

  5. There is problem with Kashmiries because they don’t know what is happening in India, but they know what is happening in Pakistan. So they are looking towards Pakistan as a friend. We have to reach up to the people in Kashmir then we can come to know what they are thinking about us. Our government should plan log term program for Kashmiri people. We have to force government to get the kashmiri peoples in main stream of India. They must be get knowledge of outside world. We must help them to get good education. We have to force the government to be got back our POK back.
We have to ban broadcasting of the Pakistani media in Kashmir. It will help us change their thinking. Our all political parties should not use this situation like political opportunity. They have to look at this like a national problem.

  6. I seriously have no idea how could Omar not say anything. This is too bad to have happened in a democracy like ours. You are right, people should have stood up against those insensitive people. I completely agree with you :)
